Softer and tamer than the R9X the R8S will boost your skiing from an intermediate plateau to the edginess and enhanced control of advanced skiers. For lighter advanced skiers you get the aggressive Oversize sidecut of the R9S but without the stiffer flex so you are in for a lighter, less demanding ride.
