Volkl AC Umlimited 2008

Volkl AC Umlimited 2008

A very easy "all-terrain" piste ski for the intermediate skier. A nice pair of skis to rent or buy when you have a week or so as a beginner under your feet. With 70 mm underfoot they are easy to remain balanced upon and are grippy enough to give you some confidence on firmer slopes.

Light, tolerant and forgiving. A good allround intermediate package.

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl AC Umlimited 2008:

The new Unlimited AC- it is a great way for beginners to get into the all terrain world and a reliable partner- easy to ride and forgiving of all mistakes.

Volkl Agua 2008

Volkl Agua 2008

The Agua's are a light, forgiving and soft pair of skis for intermediate skiers zipping around the greens and blues. They retain a good deal of sidecut to help you turn and provide a light carve whilst the flex is smooth and tolerant. A very good pair of allround piste skis for the green-red run skier.

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl Agua 2008:

Relaxed dynamics and sporty but not too aggressive. With these balanced qualities they are best suited to sporty pleasure skiers.

Volkl Aire 2008

Volkl Aire 2008

The Aire have a light construction as the name would suggest and a narrow waist for good on-piste performance. For women used to old style skis the Aire will be refreshing as they are lively, easy to use and the 68 mm waist makes them quick in short and medium turns. Instilling a sense of liveliness and agility is a great attribute for a pair fo skis and the Aire's will give you the confidence as a decent intermediate to advanced skier.

4/ 5

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl Aire 2008:

Relaxed but sporty with easy-going charcteristics for grip and performance on-piste.

Volkl Arena 2008

Volkl Arena 2008

Featuring all the power and advantages of the grippy Supersport range of yore the Attiva range for women is a great range of performance womens skis.
With an aggressive sidecut, woodcore and the Double Grip construction the advanced to expert woman skiing on piste will just love these skis. They are most nimble with a feel of a slalom ski, they perform like a pair of slightly detuned slalom skis. This is great for women as often skis built for females tend to be a little vague, the Arena and Fuego are skis that aren't wishy-washy but powerful, empowering and fun.

In terms of performance, feel and construction 5/ 5, in terms of looks 3/ 5.

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl Arena 2008:

The Arena takes the lead on the piste quick short turns and a race ski construction. For more power and control the wood core is strengthened with titanium!

Volkl Racing GS Racetiger 2008

Volkl Racing GS Racetiger 2008

Grippy, very carvy and a fun race ski for experts or racers not wanting to take a pair if demon FIS skis out of their straps. The Racetiger is an aggressive turner and I love the way the shape of the tip inspires confidence to plunge the ski down the fall line and the shape and torsion just rip around the arc. With the Piston fitted to the binding they are very smooth and fluid and relatively easy to control for a GS ski- perhaps the hardest of all skis to control and ski well.
A very useable and quick high speed GT racer for when you are assured of good conditions and flat pistes. Recommended.

4.5/ 5

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl Racing GS Racetiger 2008:

The GS Racing Ti is a racing ski for the toughest GS demands and long turns.

Volkl Racetiger RC 2008

Volkl Racetiger RC 2008

The RC's benefit from all Volkl's technological know-how. They are exceptionally grippy, not too stiff for the expert but probably quite fast and a handful for the advanced skier. On medium slopes they are delightful, smooth and quick. On steeper slopes the expert will love how you can plunge down the fall-line, but for the advanced skier you may want to wash off a little speed as the RC's like a proper race ski will want to accelerate and power you down the hill. I thoroughly enjoyed them and they feel like a smaller more versatile GS ski that love to tear around and you can still throw them around.

A good rapid package for the expert skier with a love for medium to radius turns.

4/ 5

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl Racetiger RC 2008:

Pure world cup technology is also to be found in the models SC Ti and the RC Ti. At the same time the broader geometry in comparison with the highly specialised GS and SL models give both carvers more variable use. They possess the high quality Double Grip XTD and the XTD Wood Core construction. They have strength titinal inlays for stabilized skiing at high speeds . The Racetiger SC is geared towards top skiers seeking speeds. The Racetiger SC is geared towards top skiers seeking aggressive turns with perfect grip.

Volkl Racetiger SC 2008

Volkl Racetiger SC 2008

The new Racetiger SC is a slalom carver for high performance skiers, expert skiers who love the feel of a race ski but may no longer want a really tight slalom-esque radius can relax and enjoy a slightly easier ride with the SC.

Strong but not too difficult to ride all-day long. Grippy, sharp turning and fun clothed in an executive looking package.

4/ 5

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl Racetiger SC 2008:

Pure world cup technology is also to be found in the models SC Ti and the RC Ti. At the same time the broader geometry in comparison with the highly specialised GS and SL models give both carvers more variable use. They possess the high quality Double Grip XTD and the XTD Wood Core construction. They have strength titinal inlays for stabilized skiing at high speeds . The Racetiger SC is geared towards top skiers seeking speeds. The Racetiger SC is geared towards top skiers seeking aggressive turns with perfect grip.

Volkl Racing SL Racetiger 2008

Volkl Racing SL Racetiger 2008

Punchy slalom performers, I always love how this last few versions of Volkl's slalom skis have gripped, tracked and carved such clean arcs on very frim pistes. Although not the pure race FIS ski it is a very grippy and lively ski but one that does have a tendency to be a little too keen to perform the same shape of turn repeatedly. Advanced to expert skiers will really enjoy the power and fluidity of the Racing SL's and they way they make you feel so confident at the beginning of the turn. An excellent package for short turn lovers.

4/ 5

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl Racing SL Racetiger 2008:

The explosive Racing SL favours short radii and tight slalom turns. The high quality construction meets the demands of top skiers as the titinal inserts develop their brilliant cushioning effect only at top speeds.

Volkl Pearl 2008

Volkl Pearl 2008

The Pearl is a new womens ski at Volkl and a versatile allrounder for park & pipe, piste and powder. Built with the light-weight Sensor Wood core the Pearl is an easy ski to maneouvre and is available in a large variety of sizes starting at a most petite 148. Suitable to confident advanced skiers and above.

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl Pearl 2008:

This jewel will make the hearts of freestyle girls beat faster. Pearl, the twin-tip ski for women, was developed withthe professional ladies from the Volkl freestyle team and is therefore particularly well suited to the high requirements of female jibber fans. In terms of geometry the Pearl corresponds to the Ledge, an essential difference being the slightly lighter construction which makes the Pearl even more effortless to handle.

Volkl Katana 2008

Volkl Katana 2008

Superb looking big mountatin freeride skis for the hard core. With the latest technical innovations from Volkl the Katana features a swallow tail finish with a "powder channel" that gives you the smoothness and control of a regular swallow tail but with the casing of the "powder channel" you can still ride switch.
Along with its negative camber construction the Katana is up there with the new breed of big mountain powder skis. Best suited to the higher speed, higher performing powder skier the core is also beefed-up to give you more stability, power and control. They should be an interesting pair of skis to try when the conditions suit.

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl Katana 2008:

The Katana is the most recent result of close co-operation with international professionals from various Volkl freeride teams. The result is a totally new big mountain ski with numerous technical innovations. The most striking feature is the powder channel in the swallow tail shaped end. This special construction which is seen in snowboard construction, improves aerodynamics and allows the freerider to ride waves in deep snow. Its also easier to maneouvre because with the swallow tail constrcution means its basically driven with four edges.

Volkl Sumo 2008

Volkl, Sumo, 2008, Freeride, Powder, Advanced, Expert, Pro, skis

The Sumo has always stunned with its dimensions since its inception two years ago. Now entering its third season the core has changed to the lighter and more manageable honey-combed Dual Layer Sensor Wood Core. Available in two lengths, 175 and 190, the Sumo's are pure powder skis with little use for on-piste riding. The flex is relatively tolerant and they are not for the hard-core, high-speed, straight lining skier.
The Sumo's love the back-country, heli-skiing guy or gal that want a light, smooth flexing ski and they reward you with a silken ride to further enjoy the terrain.
Wood-cored, cool graphics and a huge ski to keep the advanced to expert skier afloat in the most glorious conditions. A lovely finish to this ski, especially the top-sheet only add to the appeal.

Pure powder skis.

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl, Sumo, 2008, Freeride, Powder, Advanced, Expert, Pro, skis:

The Sumo was and still is the ultimate weapon in deep snow. with the widest sidecut in the Volkl range(145-125-142) it glides effortlessly over powder hangings, creating a surf like feeling.

Volkl Bridge 2008

Volkl Bridge 2008

The men from Volkl were very excited by the Bridge. It is a ski that, forgive me, is to bridge the gap between traditional groomed run skiing and the new skool movement of park, pipes and backcountry. In effect this is an allmountain ski for the 21st Century. When fitted with Markers exceptionally well engineered Duke binding they certainly looked like a mean piece of kit. So on snow...
Well the sidecut is a bit more aggressive than with many of the freestyle skis and I did appreciate that on piste and felt that they were willing to turn but not with any great eagerness. On the slushy and variable terrain we tested them upon they coped adequately but did not inspire me to take a more aggressive line but rather just ski- I guess in the way that many an adept four wheel drive car crusies over the rough stuff but leaves you feeling a little drowsy.
To be fair though it is a ski that shoul dprove to be hugely successful as it really is a go anywhere ski, with some power reserves to hold its own on firm snow and with the park, pipe, powder and with the amazing Duke binding, some touring thrown in for an adventurous weeks skiing.

The manufacturer says this about the Volkl Bridge 2008:

Powderr or kicker? Now there's a good answer to this question: Both!! Because The Bridge is the perfect "bridge" between freeride and freestyle. A ski that feels just as comfortable in park n' pipe as in the back country- with an extremely high level of performance. With the right mix of width and a light core, it combines the best of both worlds. The Bridge looks good too: Asiatic designs from the Volkl freeride world mixedd witht the typical urban styles of Volkl freestylers. The heart of the Bridge is its Dual Layer Sensor wood core, a honeycomb wooden core with double layer construction that gives a very precise ride feel. For maximum stability the core has been coated in intersecting layers of fibreglass and bonded with large quantities of special glue. The Special Edge from Volkl, Armed Edge, has been left in the Tough Box. The combination of Armed Edge and Tough Box create Power Construction which allows the bindings to be very securely anchored in the body of the ski. The bindings are effectively prevented from tearing out under extreme ski conditions. The Bridge is best used with the new Duke from Marker, the first freeride binding with real function.

Fischer Vision Zephyr Flow Flex VI 2008 skis

Fischer Vision Zephyr Flow Flex VI 2008 skis

Topping the Vision women's line from Fischer the Zephyr's are light but aggressive, feminine but powerful. They are aimed at the advanced to expert woman who loves to lay down some serious carves on piste. The Zephyr's are very much shaped like a slalom ski so they are very grippy and reassuring on icy pistes, the sandwich construction really biting into firm hardpack and giving the skier lots of feedback. As it is aimed at women the ski has been lightened up somewhat so there is a light Flowflex plate which is much less dynamic than those fitted to the unisex skis, this is fine for the advanced skier and expert who doesn't feel like working too hard- for those of you who do appreciate more race-bred performance you may want to stick with the unisex ski instead.
The Zephry non the less is a most lively pair of skis for the advanced to expert female skier and you may be pleasantly surprised at the amount of control, grip, fun and exhiliration you will gain from skiing a nippy pair of skis such as these in comaprison to a pair of flatulent twin-tips.

4/ 5 Would be higher if there was a slightly beefier plate underfoot.

The manufacturer says this about the Fischer Vision Zephyr Flow Flex VI 2008 skis:

Enthusiasm through performance. Impressing through fashionable style. Bringing your own personality to the slopes without sacrificing the fun factor. Less energetic skiing and easier turns thanks to a special binding construction. The unique "MYTURN" label that unites all Vision technologies under one seal of quality. Fischer RX Big Heat Flow Flex 2008

Fischer RX Big Heat Flow Flex 2008

The manufacturer says this about the Fischer RX Big Heat Flow Flex 2008:

Conquer the mountain comfortably. With maximum high speed turns in all terrain. Based on World Cup technology. This means: optimum power flow to the edges despite the ski being very wide. Fischer RX Cold Heat Flow Flex 2008

Fischer RX Cool Heat Rail Flex 2008

Fischer RX Cool Heat Rail Flex 2008

Sporty allrounders that perform well on-piste, not bad off-piste but are a good compromise in the fashion of a pair of Levi jeans. They do the job, are reasobaly stylish, everyone has had a pair and some keep them for a long time- others will move on though and buy a pair of PRPS. And a bit like reviewing lots of near-identical allmountain skis, or buying another pair of Levi's (not Red Label!), this review does the job but for this reviewer I am more than happy to look for more interesting skis to clobber.

The manufacturer says this about the Fischer RX Cool Heat Rail Flex 2008:

Fischer Addict 2008

Fischer, Addict, 2008

Slightly more forgiving construction than the Addict Pro the Addict nontheless bequeths a good amount amount fo park & pipe performance for the advanced to expert freestyler. Never happier than when in the park the Fischer Addict's are bred to be kept to the confines of kickers, rail slides and backcountry hucking. If freestyle is your thing the Addict's are a versatile doing anything freestyle pair of boards.

The manufacturer says this about the Fischer, Addict, 2008:

Uncompromising performance. Enjoying park, pipe and big air whenever you want. With a ski that, thanks to its construction, performs just as well backwards as it does forwards. A ski with technology designed for extreme stability, strength and durability. These are only some of the features developed with the riders of the International Freeski Team. For people who want to become addicted to freestyle performance.

For park, pipe and big air. The Freeski that can do practically anything. Real Twintip for identical forwards and backwards skiing.

Fischer Habit 2008

Fischer Habit 2008

Mid-level trick ski with a long radius and park orientated nature. Best when hitting rails, flat-landing and buttering, the Habit is fo rthose skiers that prefer to hang out and chill in the confines of the park rather than venture into skiing the hill.

The manufacturer says this about the Fischer Habit 2008:

Uncompromising performance. Enjoying park, pipe and big air whenever you want. With a ski that, thanks to its construction, performs just as well backwards as it does forwards. A ski with technology designed for extreme stability, strength and durability. These are only some of the features developed with the riders of the International Freeski Team. Fischer AMC 79 Rail Flex AC 2008

Fischer AMC 79 Rail Flex AC 2008

Longer turning, low weight, stiffer flexing and starting to build the speed and risk up, the AMC 79 features a carbon fibre chassis for a lively feel and agile character. Fitted with a Railflex the 79's retain that smooth fischer feel. A good allrounder for the couple of week a year skier, not for the adventurous expert though, I preferred the sidewall finished Watea range for more versatile fun.

Steady going multi-condition advanced skiers choice.

The manufacturer says this about the Fischer AMC 79 Rail Flex AC 2008:

Looking for adventure, off-piste as well. Leaving tracks behind, on all kinds of terrain. With skis that are at home wherever you take them. Outstanding stability with extremely low weight. High-tech material as used in aerospace engineering to stand up to tough conditions: Air Carbon. Ideal turning and control in all snow and piste conditions. A superior construction that replaces the conventional wood core: the Air Carbon Chassis. Only a few selected facts from a long list of technical highlights that the AMC series has to offer. A ski you can always rely on.

For the multitalented. The all-rounder for skiing enjoyment both on and off the piste. Now new with extreme torsional stiffness through Air Carbon Ti Chassis and improved on-piste performance.

Fischer AMC 76 Rail Flex AC 2008

Fischer AMC 76 Rail Flex AC 2008

Probably the most versatile ski in Fishcer's allmountain AMC range. The 76 has that amount of millimetres underfoot for added floatation in softer snow and improved stability in tricky all-terrain conditions.
As is typical of Fischer skis you get a carve-orientated shape which is very stable on a medium to long carve and pretty smooth with Railflex system.
In all a good allround performer, not too heavy, well planted and suited to the advanced holiday skier. For the expert skier i find they lack a little sensitivity and can feel a touch "tinny" in comparison to theirFischer race-bred stablemates.....must be the Sandwich construction on the more expensive race skis that makes them so smooth.

An excellent advanced-skier allrounder.

4/ 5

Fischer AMC 73 Rail Flex AC 2008

Fischer, AMC, 73, Rail Flex, AC, 2008

The AMC is a traditional allmountain ski for the holiday skier packing a good combination of versatile sidecut, not tooo aggressive flex, enough width to deal with a bit of fresh fluff underfoot yet still be slimm enough to squeeze through the bumps.

A nice allrounder for the decent intermediate to advanced holiday skier.

The idea with skis like the RX 8 is that they involve you in the skiing like a good car involves you in the driving experince. Grab yourself a pair of RX 8's and start to experience some skiing sensations.

Fischer Hybrid H7 Rail Flex AC 2008

Fischer Hybrid H7 Rail Flex AC 2008

Lightweight, wide and easy. The Hybrid range from fischer is topped by the H7 but it remains true to the rest of the range with its broad sidecut,, easy turning nature, gentle flex, smooth ride at low speeds and tame nature. Slightly narrower than the otheer two moedls for a more agile feel and better grip the H7 is a ski you would buy as a recreational intermediate whereas the H3 is probablybest rented for the first week or two.

The manufacturer says this about the Fischer Hybrid H7 Rail Flex AC 2008:

Always in control on the slopes. Feeling comfortable and safe. The easiest way to enjoy dynamic, agile skiing. The hybrid technology unites the best of two worlds in one ski. High-tech materials and know-how from the AMC series combined with the classic ski construction. The result: the hybrid core. It combines wood with carbon or glass fibre. The ski is light but extremely stable nevertheless. It stands for straightforward handling and increased agility. For skiers who are looking for a sleek, dynamic ski.

For the best of both worlds. The very lightweight ski that also gives you excellent torsional stiffness with its Hybrid Tech2 construction. The 73 mm waist enables dynamic, confident and easy skiing.

Fischer Hybrid H3 Rail Flex AC 2008

Fischer Hybrid H3 Rail Flex AC 2008

The new Fischer Hybrid range starts with he H3, a ski for the beginner to intermediate skier. With an extremely light construction the ski is easy to wield at low speeds, the width underfoot is broad so that you have a large and comfortable platform to build your first turns and experience your first sliding sensations. With an acute radius of 14m the H3 turns very easily whether it is skidding or starting to carve a little- in fact it is only due to the width of the ski that you are able to skid and this is very important as a learner because you don't want to feel as though you are trapped on a rail and can't get off. So the H3 is easy, tolerant and a new approach to learning to ski.

Worth a try if you're just starting out or haven't skied for a while.

Fischer RX 6 Fire FTI Rail Flex 2008

Fischer RX 6 Fire FTI Rail Flex 2008

Slightly beefier and better suited to the aggressive intermediate or advanced skier the RX6 FTI benefits from a deep sidecut, sporty but not too intolerant flex and a tight turning 13m radius. You can't help but carve on these skis- they are born to tear up short to medium radius carved turns. As with the majority of Fischer skis they are designed with modern technique in mind, so keep them on an edge and they are happy but skid around on them and you probably won't feel too comfortable.

A good allround sporty piste performer.

Fischer RC4 WC RC Flow Flex 2008

Fischer RC4 WC RC Flow Flex 2008

Excellent fun! Although not a true FIS GS skis the RC4 WC in this RC guise is exceptionally fluid on hardpacked snow. The Flowflex plate allows the ski to flex independently of the boot and you do experience lovely smooth arcs and good acceleration throughout the turn. The shaping of the sidecut allows for a relatively forgiving start to the turn and they feel very stable underfoot- you don't need to be an 80 point FIS racer or less to be able to stand on these skis.
For the good advanced skier to expert they are a great introduction to GS skis and the feelings that racers experience in creating G's when turning plus they are still rapid enough for club racing and "getting in to" Giant Slalom skiing.

An excellent package but if you are looking to race more seriously then you will need to source a pair of FIS approved race skis which are grippier, faster tougher and even more impressive- but certainly not for recreational skiing!

4/ 5

The manufacturer says this about the Fischer RC4 WC RC Flow Flex 2008:

Superior performance. Complete control over the skis. No matter what the speed. Pure racing - with professional, World Cup class equipment. Perfect edge grip. Optimum turning and manoeuvring. An intelligent construction that enables ideal power flow to the edges whenever you want. Just some of the countless challenges that perfect racing skis always have to stand up to - before the skier can put in an impressive performance.

For winners. The top model in the race series. High-end performance through World Cup technology and precise base and edge finish. Featuring the legendary Flowflex.

Fischer RC4 SC WC Flow Flex 2008

Fischer RC4 SC WC Flow Flex 2008

The SC is Fischer's retail slalom ski, it is not the pure FIS slalom ski. This does not distract from the fact that the SC's are a fantastic pair of super-stable and fluid race skis for the majority of advanced and expert skiers. The combination of race-bred sidewall construction, Flowflex plate and aggressive sidecut give you great feel for the snow, superb grip and rebound plus a most agile pair of fun slalom skis to hack around the whole mountain.
This is a ski the ski instructor or coach will love, you can cruise on them, burn up fall-line short carved turns or do demo turns to your clients content. For lighter less physically strong skiers there is a chance you may feel them a touch heavy but given opportunity this is a great pair of skis for on-piste blasting.

As with the RC 4 WC RC if you are going to start hacking through gates with any regularity and aiming towards a more serious level of racing it may be worth sourcing the full-on slalom ski as they are somewhat quicker edge to edge and do feel more agile and grippy.

Fischer RC4 Race SC Rail Flex 2008

Fischer RC4 Race SC Rail Flex 2008

A touch tamer than the superb RC WC SC, this slalom carver has all the benefits of the WC version but is a slightly softer, more forgiving and with a less dynamic plate which gives you a great smooth ride but not too much kick-back as you would experience with the top level ski. So if you are an advanced to expert skier looking for a high-performance short-turning ski for everyday and all-day-long use then the Race SC's are probably well suited to you.

Fischer RC 4Race RC Rail Flex 2008

Fischer RC 4Race RC Rail Flex 2008

Fischer have invested huge amounts of money in their race skis and the RC 4 Race Carver really does feel like a well developed package. They are sublimely smooth and exceptionally grippy as a result of their Sandwich construction and they are agile and planted on the firm flat pistes. As with many skis like this they are best used on well-groomed trails and bumps are not their forte unless you have a relatively small size as they can start to feel heavy and unwieldy.
Kept on the trails though these skis are really silky and sweet, you can go for the slightly longer lengths for greater stability and longer radius or go short for rapid edge to edge action.
A great pair of skis for the aggressive advanced skier or expert who wants the grip and sensations of a race ski but without the pure performance in a particular turn radius.

Fischer Watea 101 2008

Fischer, Watea, 101, 2008

Powerful, strong wood core and big dimensions equal a ski for the physically and mentally strong, the technically able and for skiers who know they need this type of ski to get the best out of their big powder day skiing. Fast and furoious for experts and above.

The manufacturer says this about the Fischer, Watea, 101, 2008:

Untouched slopes. Leaving your own tracks on virgin slopes with masterly powder turns and sprays. Making full use of a construction that stands up to the toughest of rides. A technology that thanks to its wide body structure and the integration of analogies from other sports, creates the ideal setting for individual performance. For people who want to go all out and their own way both on and off-piste.

For enthusiasts. The right Freeride ski for the toughest of rides, developed by the pro riders on the international Fischer Freeski Team. With I-Beam for all rides.

Fischer Watea 94 2008

Fischer, Watea, 94, 2008

Bigger and more serious for the experienced freeriders. The Watea 94's are still relatively easy to handle and the flex and sidewall construction remain solid but agile and not too leaden like happens to some other manufacturers. An excellent pair of mid-fats that are happy at medium to higher speeds in mixed snow conditions.

Fischer Watea 84 2008

Fischer, Watea, 84, 2008

Great! This ski looks the business and is an excellent performer. The finish of this ski is superb, the graphics and window into the core of the ski work very well as does the colour scheme. On-snow they don't disappoint with their playfulness, I thoroughly enjoyed how you can throw them around on all sorts of terrain at the side of the piste, they are nimble, light, stable and great fun, highly recommended if you have never tried a pair of Freeride skis. In fact I think the Watea 84's are amongst the best allmountain skis available from my ski experiences and for the majority of holiday skiers looking for a ski to really throw around the hill you won't be disappointed.....mind you don't expect a pair of piste carvers, this is a pair of skis that loves mixed terrain and snow conditions- kinda like a 4x4 for your feet.

Fischer Watea 78 2008

Fischer, Watea, 78, 2008

The Watea 78 is a versatile Freeride ski that I much prefer to the AMC series. Although you may pay a premium for this ski they are worth it as you will have much more feel and enjoy the changes in snow and terrain much more as a result of the 78's refined construction.

A great pair of intermediate to advanced freeride, allmountain skis.

Rossignol Bandit B74 2008

Rossignol Bandit B74 2008

The original all-mountain Bandit's with a heavy dose of re-working. Aimed at the odd off-piste powder foray as opposed to the full-on Freeride boards within the Bandit range. Happy in bumps, fine on the firm and good for the feet of decent intermediates to advanced skiers. Experts meanwhile will enjoy a ski with a little more punch.

The manufacturer says this about the Rossignol Bandit B74 2008:

Put them on and ski by instinct. Easy-turning with immediate response to kick pressures. (?) The ideal partner for first freerides.

Rossignol Attraxion III 2008

Rossignol Attraxion III 2008

Yet another versaitle allrounder from rossignol. the Attraxion III's are a most attractive pair of skis and perhaps the best purchase as they are mid-range and suited to blue and red run skiing for regular one or two week per year skiers. Forgiving, easy to turn, no surprises and good looking for the intermediate to advanced skier.

The manufacturer says this about the Rossignol Attraxion III 2008:

These skis satisfy your need for speed- with ease. Carve beautiful turns in total confidence. Skis to do everything you want.

Rossingol Attraxion I blue 2008

Rossingol Attraxion I blue 2008

Easy carving, attractively designed and forgiving piste skis to bring you up to speed and develop your skiing. Ideal for beginners and developing intermediates pottering around green and blue runs.

The manufacturer says this about the Rossingol Attraxion I blue 2008:

Easy-riding, soft-gliding skis. As gentle as a kiss....

Rossignol Bandit B100 Quad 2008

Rossignol Bandit B100 Quad 2008

Baby bandit Squads, the Quads come in four different sizes and are a touch more humane than the very serious Gaidet-inspired B104 Squad skis. The Quads are big freeride skis with 130-100-120 sidecuts, it sounds a lot but they take a full GS-like 25m to carve a turn. For girls and juniors the 164 and 174 sizes are quite useable meanwhile the 184 is best suited to the strongest female skiers or men who feel they can't quite manage or would prefer a fraction more versatility than the Squads may offer.

The manufacturer says this about the Rossignol Bandit B100 Quad 2008:

Identical to the B104 but adapted for smaller sizes. (?)
