Blizzard G-Force Pro Skis 2008/09

Blizzard G-Force Pro Skis 2008/09

All-terrain blasters for the aggressive advanced skier. Perfect for attacking crud, black runs and more variable terrain. Although the dimensions aren't too different from the G-3 the core features a stronger compound and there is a double-carbon layer to the construction which gives more bite and life, great for the stronger and more athletic skier who wants to push their limits a little further. Could be a great all-rounder for the regular or advanced all-mountain skier.

As yet untested but very much looking forwards to riding the G-Force Pro this coming season, will keep you posted.

The manufacturer says this about the Blizzard G-Force Pro Skis 2008/09:

The G-Force Pro employs Blizzards outstanding construction: the IQ system,, Powerframe Technology, wood core and two sheets of carbon. It's quick to the ege - strong, stable and predictable. For the medium to long-radius arc specialist. But unlike a lot of hardpack carvers it doesn't forget how to have fun. A lot of rebound energy says plenty about its spunk and versatility.

Blizzard G-Force G-3 IQ Skis 2008/09

Blizzard G-Force G-3 IQ Skis 2008/09

Mid-range in Blizzard's G-Force range the G-3 retains the IQ system of an integrated binding and ski - not to be confused with the many plate-systems around, Blizzrd where the first to actually integrate the bindings into the ski itself.

A slightly more aggressive profile gives the G-3 a sharper turn by half a metre plus a sportier feel with the addition of a Carbon Powerframe. A sporty intermediate package for speedier antics on reds and more challenging blacks, the G-3 is a great ski for the recreational all-mountain skier.

The manufacturer says this about the Blizzard G-Force G-3 IQ Skis 2008/09:

Ambitious skiers with good all-terrain technique.
Prepare for serious carving with Powerframe technology and wood core construction. The G-3 lets you experience pure acceleration. Buttery-smooth and predictable in medium to long-radius turns. The 70 mm waist is just wide enough to be consistently playful - surprisingly good even in crud.

Blizzard G-Force G2 IQ Skis 2008/09

Blizzard G-Force G2 IQ Skis 2008/09

Built with a Composite sandwich construction for lightweight but good performance the G2 is the second ski in Blizzard's new G-Force line-up. Still with a 70 mm waist and 15 m radius this is a ski happiest cruising around groomed runs - European reds and blacks will pose no problem at moderate speeds or for slightly more aggressive intermediate skiers.

Citizen Ski rating: yet to be tested.

The manufacturer says this about the Blizzard G-Force G2 IQ Skis 2008/09:

Easy turn initiation and an incredibly light weight provide comfort to the performance skier in every situation. The extremely versatile sidecut and Powerframe technology of the G-Force G2 IQ guarantee easy handling and a controlled ride.

Blizzard G-Force G-1 IQ Skis 2008/09

Blizzard G-Force G-1 IQ Skis 2008/09

G-Force is a fresh and very smart new range of skis from Austrian ski manufacturer Blizzard. There are seven skis within the range, all aimed at groom-run skiers, starting with the G-1 for intermediate right up to the range topping Supersonic IQ built with experts in mind.

The G-1 s aimed at the intermediate, first time buyer market, but the finish of the ski is very sleek for an "entry model." Aesthetically they are spot on, there is a broad range of sizes from 146 cm to 174 cm and the 70 mm waist provides a sturdy platform from which to progress. The G-1 profile is that of a carving ski, but it is relatively non-aggressive and sports a 15 m radius, great for cruising medium turns.

Definitely worth seeking out for a test run, I'll have to wait until this coming season for a test run though, so will keep you posted as I find out more.
