Female specific big-mountain skis with that ever-feminine of adornments, a "leather embossed" top-sheet! In fact the Heaven 'n Hell is quite a pleasing ski on the eye, guess all skiers, and especially women, do get bored of some of the marketing crap out there.
Anyhow, to the snow where this ski belongs. Heaven 'n Hell may remind of you of some half-baked soap opera or novella but it is a pair of Big Mountain skis for the dedicated freeriding female. With a versatile 99 mm waist this is not a "powder only" ski, although a few seasons ago it would have been considered immense in terms of dimensions. With a light-weight core the ski retains a level of forgiveness that permits the advanced skier to tackle deep powder with the H 'n H. More expert skiers will love the ski for its ease of use but don't think it is going to be all plain-sailing, this ski has a 25 - 29m radius depending on the length taken - that is pretty much the same as a World Cup GS ski for either women or men. No relying on the sidecut to "bring you around" here then - this is a ski that will tolerate the uninitiated in fine conditions but if it gets tough you will need to be active and powerful to ski the H 'n H in any of the two longer lengths.
skireviews.co.uk rating: 94/100
A fine pair of backcountry freeride skis for the advanced (in shorter lengths) to expert female skier - if its more speed and stability you want grab the 183, the 173 is best for versatility rather than aggression.
Magic in the powder. Perfectly balanced for performing in powder. With an impressive width of 99 mm this ski floats through powder like an eagle on a thermal. Beautifully designed, ultra-light in weight, underlining the unimpeachable (thought impeachment was something normally directed at failing Presidents not a ski! - skireviews.co.uk) style of teh skier with its new leather-finish top-sheet. Gliding through the soft waves of snow without resistance, enjoying the ultimate skiing experience. Heaven 'n Hell: More power in powder.
