Amplid Antidogma Skis 2008

Amplid Antidogma Skis 2008

The manufacturer says this about the Amplid Antidogma Skis 2008:

Skiing gets reinvented every day. And so do skis. The Antidogma expresses what the next level twin tip skiing is:
Rails, kicker, pipe. Going off anything, anywhere, anytime. The special freestyle flexcurve gives you the extra pop while taking off anything.

It is easy to spin in the air due to the reduced swing weight in the tail and nose. Enough waist for the early morning backcountry kicker session. Super durable biax glass construction to survive big rail landings. Abuse Base Technology helps to fight against rail bites.

Amplid Infrawhite Skis 2008

Amplid Infrawhite Skis 2008

The manufacturer says this about the Amplid Infrawhite Skis 2008:

The lightest women's all mountain ski out there: 1600 gr. considering a 95mm waist makes the Infrawhite the non-compromise tool for cruising through untracked or just shredding on the piste.

Adopting the bigger brother's "Infrablack" all carbon construction, the Infrawhite is the wunderkind when it gets to handling in tighter tree runs, in the air or simply carrying it.

All white top graphics and base, with a posh titanium, laser engraved aluminum plate. We took out some of last years carbon to make it a bit more forgiving.

Amplid Infrablack Skis 2008

Amplid Infrablack Skis 2008

The manufacturer says this about the Amplid Infrablack Skis 2008:

Probably the lightest fat ski on the market. Our Amplid Helio Core, home grown carbon fibre and things we don't wanna talk about make the Infrablack the superlight big mountain weapon.

Handling while riding or carrying while hiking 1700 gr. (!!!) per ski is more than nice to have.

Using the same shape as Mr. Berr has approved for his "Teddy Driver", in combo with the extra black magic technology our ARC-members engineered down in the lab, this alien work of art is the new benchmark for the industry.

Amplid Cholesteron Skis 2008

Amplid Cholesteron Skis 2008

The manufacturer says this about the Amplid Cholesteron Skis 2008:

Imagine two riders, skiing the opposite corners of europe. Turning in their shape concepts. What turns out is one common idea:
The Cholesterone.

Cooked raw and fat by Frenchman Mati Imbert and norwegian viking Cato Laegreid, this "ski" is meant to be jibbed in the backcountry like there is no tomorrow.

Taking off switch from huge cornices, landing switch in 3 ft. fresh, riding up tree logs for a better view, or picking up chicks just because it’s fatter than others.

The Milo is the non compromise all mountain tool for the Venus on the mountain.

Riding the untracked, carving corderoy or getting air off kickers, the Milo's geometrics are designed to suit the female rider in all conditions.

Solid glass construction for stability at higher speeds, yet torsionally soft and forgiving. Featuring some stylish gold metallic effects on the surface.

Amplid Township Skis 2008

Amplid Township Skis 2008

The manufacturer says this about the Amplid Township Skis 2008:

From the park at Les2Alps and Hemsedal to the rails of Stockholm downtown or Munich Olympia Park. The "TS" has done it all. Built for ultratough urban style riding it is built to manage everything from asphalt flatters to handrail landings.

A slightly narrower waist and stubbier tips than the Antidogma the Township is the supernimble spinning tool.

The graphic works from our amplid research cartel artists communicate exactly what’s it made for.

Olympic Champion Antoine Deneriaz joins Salomon for 2008

Olympic Champion Antoine Deneriaz joins Salomon for 2008

Antoine deneriaz, olympic champion, joins salomon!

The manufacturer says this about the Olympic Champion Antoine Deneriaz joins Salomon for 2008:

ANTOINE DENERIAZ, OLYMPIC CHAMPION, JOINS SALOMON!

Antoine Deneriaz, the 2006 Downhill Olympic Champion, has decided to join Salomon for the coming seasons.

The French downhill skier, 2006 Downhill Olympic Champion and winner of 3 World Cup events (2 of which on his favorite slope in Val Gardena), has joined the French brand, Salomon, for the next step of his career with the next World Championships in Val d’Isere as his major goal.

Antoine, one of the world’s best downhill skiers for the past 5 years, had remarkable performances during the 2006 season winning an Olympic Gold in Torino. With the best time in the training run, Antoine kept calm which allowed him to make history in the sport.
Victim to a horrific fall in the 2006 World Cup Finals in Are, Antoine has a tough time getting back his sensations in downhill. His physical preparation for the 2006/07 season was greatly affected thus making his favorite discipline more difficult.
This winter, Antoine had his best ever season in Super-G with a notable 5th at Lake Louise and 10th at Hinterstoder. He finished 16th of the 2007 Super-G World Cup Overall Ranking.
After having worked with various Downhill Olympic Champions such as Jean Luc Cretier (Nagano 1998) and Fritz Strobl (Salt Lake City 2002), Salomon is delighted to welcome Antoine to the speed disciplines’ team of specialists. Thanks to the great performance of our equipment, the knowledge of our team of engineers and race technicians, Antoine Deneriaz has decided to collaborate with Salomon to take on new challenges. Pascal Lemoine, his loyal service man for the past 7 years, will continue to work with him on the World Cup circuit.

Antoine Deneriaz: “I had a really tough season in 2007. My physical preparation was not great after my fall at the 2006 World Cup finals. I was not able to get back to my top level and was continuously searching for my on-snow sensations all season. It is really important for me to go for a fresh start; and I am really excited about skiing with Salomon equipment, and French equipment to boot. It’s quite a coincidence; I just moved close to Annecy, just a few kilometers from the Salomon factory. That will definitely reinforce my implication in product development thanks to the proximity with my partners. I have already won a few major titles, some World Cup events. To win in Francein 2009, with French equipment would be an even greater success for me.”

Christian Frison Roche, Salomon Racing Director: “We have cultivated a true Olympic Champion tradition for many years. With Fritz Strobl, the great Austrian champion retiring after many victories and medals in downhill and Super-G in all major events, we needed to replace him with a world-class champion. Antoine, with his great record, was a natural choice for Salomon; and he will allow us to maintain our presence among the elite in the speed disciplines. With the French skiers Ingrid Jacquemod, Marie Marchand Arvier and Antoine Deneriaz, Salomon will be present at the highest level for the next World Championships in 2009 in Val d’Isere.”
