Perhaps the skis I tried were too short but the AC 30 didn't perform as well off-piste as I had expected. There didn't seem to be much tail behind the heel binding which led to the ski digging in on softer and more breakable snow. The feel of the ski and the quality of the construction is excellent but on mixed terrain I found the AC 30 wanting for stronger support, more power and more booty!
The manufacturer says this about the Volkl Unlimited AC 30 Titanium 2008:The ski line for all eventualities. New generation of the successful series with more models and the tried and tested all-mountain qualities.
