Fischer Watea 78 Skis 2008/09

Fischer Watea 78 Skis 2008/09

Perhaps the most universal ski in the Watea range, the 78 packs a punch with its wood-core and sandwich construction, a bit like the 84 I love the short turns, a little easier here than with the 84's but then you don't get the same float in the powder but a little more focus towards piste/groomed run performance.

Great price points on all the Watea range and the quality is there in both construction and finish. With a versatile sidecut you arc or skid turns, challenge yourself down tough blacks (double black diamonds States-side) or start venturing into the back-country.

No real faults but very much for the adventurous advanced skier or lighter expert skier. if you are looking to venture out of bounds a little more then head for the 84's they do everything the 78 can but with a little more support and are exceptional for the money.

skireviews.co.uk rating: 92/100

Demure graphics will appeal to some as they blend rather than make a statement. An excellent all-terrain, all-round package for the advanced skier.

The manufacturer says this about the Fischer Watea 78 Skis 2008/09:

For all eventualities. The universal ski for piste and powder that can tackle any situation. Extremely stable thanks to tough sandwich construction.
