Entry-level touring ski that bridges the gap between an extreme tourer and a regular Alpine ski. The Evolution comes with a 70 mm waist which is great for climbing up hills, light, easy and non too cumbersome - if the going down is deep though I hope you have reasonable technique as it is not much of a platform unless your technique is already reasonably proficient.
Coming in at 1370 g a ski the Evolution is a versatile model that is able on groomed runs and will provide reasonable grip through its Compound construction, but don't expect it to tear a decent carve unless the snow is pretty soft.
Personally I would go for the Free Cross if I was only touring a couple of hours a time, if you are a lover of skiing downhill then grab the FC, if you are more into cruising across or up hills then the Evo could be your bag!
