The Slim Daddy's are new to the Daddy range for 2007. This is the entry model and is aimed towards the adventurous advanced intermediate skier who fancies trying his hand in the powder. As a skier at this level is going to still spend the majority of his time on groomed runs then the ski also has to ski well on firmer snow and the Slim Daddy does this by having a profile that is slightly on the slimmer side of a mid-fat ski- so less than 80mm underfoot. With the Slim Daddy you get more floatation than with a traditional allterrain ski so it is easier to use in deeper conditions but the 76mm underfoot still allows you to glide and carve on the groomers- and with a medium to longer radius sidecut the Slim Daddy's are going to bequite fast, fair to handle in the bumps and a good allterrain ski for the skier who gets to the snow a couple of times a year.
The manufacturer says this about the Atomic, Slim Daddy, 2008:The new, ideal Daddy for newcomers to powder. An easy-to-ride all-mountain ski for powder pleasure and fast turns on groomed runs.
