I loved this ski when I tried it back in January. There was a broad mix of conditions from fresh, light snow from the previous night to firm (very!) hard pack from the snow cannons that were blasting away.
The Aero X was the first and the best of the Aero models that I tried. The Hybrid construction was really noticeable with a definite difference between what was going on from your toe side to your heel side.
From under the middle of your feet and forwards the weave of the construction if different, a point highlighted in the "windows" that feature on the Aero skis that allow you to view the construction. This stronger weave really lets you carve and be aggressive with the front whilst the back still hold son well and gives lots of grip. But if you stand a little or back off then you can pivot the tail around at will and wash off some speed- they are great fun nd also a little safer as you don't need as much space to "run out" if you are going like the clappers.
In all the Aero X's are like a Mercedes CL car, understated, refined, fast yet safe.
An excellent pair of skis for fast advanced skier or expert who prefers to cruise rather than tear about the mountain.
Maximum performance.
With the DNA of a racing ski modified to add technical assistance, every extreme turn becomes intuitive; you can unleash the power yet remain in complete control. Performance carving takes on a new dimension with the Aero X thanks to the Hybrid technology and Multiradius construction.
