The Red Apples are a medium-narrow touring ski that give you a few more millimetres over the Apple 71- so a slightly better ride is guaranteed when heading downhill rather than yomping uphill. If you are thinking of skiing more downhill, or cherish it a little more than a few extra grams over the 71, then I would definitely go for the 74 for heightened skiing pleasure.
Light, wood-cored, a touch firmer flex and Movement advise better suited to heavier skiers. The perfect ski for the Haut Route or other such serious touring undertakings- and they are still a pair of skis and not a couple of twigs with tiny boot clasps strapped to them.
Big brother of the Red Apple 71, 3mm wider, the Red Apple 74 offers a slightly more freeride approach. An evolutionary geometry and a progressive flex make it a ski perfectly adapted to heavier skiers and to those who want a wider ski to create more lift. Our most popular choice for more traditional ski touring.
