Head World Cup iSL RD RacePlate 2008

Head, WC, iSL, RD,RacePlate, 2008

Sublime. The new iSL RD is a completely reassuring, fast, subtle and smooth pair of slalom performers- they are fantastic and right up there with the best slalom skis available. The plate and top-sheet have been replaced for 2007 but the changes in how they ski amount to much more than what you'd imagine the sum of such change would effect. The new race plate allows more flex along the length of the ski whilst it seems less torsionally affected leaving you with crisp, clean arcs on the toughest of snows.
The white sheen finish is well executed and adds to an overall feeling of quality and along with the race tip fitted this pair of skis really do feel like the business.
I would have thought this is a great ski for the expert who likes to rip hard-core short turns on their days-off or for club racers wanting a tool from the sharp end of ski design.

A pair of stunners.

The manufacturer says this about the Head, WC, iSL, RD,RacePlate, 2008:

If the iGS RD feels like Formula 1, the iSL feels like a superbike. Developed with Bode Miller along FIS Slalom regulations this ski is agile and grippy like no slalom ski ever before. Made to boost your V-Max both in tight gates and in the store. (new race plate and top-sheet).
