Head Monster iM 78 SW Skis 2008/09

Head Monster iM 78 SW Skis 2008/09

Another great all-mountain ski. Tamer than the excellent 82 mm Monster but nifty on-piste and a little quicker edge to edge. even though I come from race background I still preferred the 82's as they have a little more grunt and are better fro blasting around. Guess the 78's are slightly more elegant and easier to flex but they didn't inspire me quite as much. The turn initiation is easier with the 78's and noticeable, they also feature a slightly tighter carve and lighter feel - an excellent all-rounder and great for adventurous advanced to expert skiers, do try to test both pairs if possible before committing.

Skireviews rating - 89/100

Graphically not as inspired and also on snow I preferred the feel of the Monster 82's - but for lighter experts or strong advanced skiers the 78's will be great fun.

The manufacturer says this about the Head Monster iM 78 SW Skis 2008/09:

Hungry all-terrain freeride ski with a good bite on the slopes and a monstrous appetite for powder. Powder to piste ratio: 50/50.
