Salomon EQ 2V Z14 Lab Skis 2008

Salomon EQ 2V Z14 Lab Skis 2008

Another new ski from Salomon for 2008/09. Tested in Meribel early in the season the 2V surprised me with its willingness to whip down the fall-line and grip like a demented demon on the artificial snow that was pumping onto the already adequate natural.

So a lot more bite than the previous and somewhat flaccid model plus this ski has some fire in its soul with the wood and titanium core plus the redesigned LAB binding and race plate that sit atop to give you, the expert to pro skier, a much more refined and precise ride.

As ever Salomon offer two main models for racing - the shop EQ 2V and the Race 2V LAB, the LAB Race variant is what you need for FIS racing, the shop model is great for tearing around and terrorising the speed police though!

Skireviews.co.uk rating - 94/100

Excellent, versatile giant slalom ski for expert skiers.

The manufacturer says this about the Salomon EQ 2V Z14 Lab Skis 2008:

Equipe: innovate to perform.
