As ever the Gotama is "quintessential" amongst the armoury of many a hard core seasonaire skier. Although essentially a back-country jibber, they are probably one of the skis that invented the genre, the Gotama's are very versatile and a great pair of all-round back-country skis.
With 105 mm underfoot they are wide, they were once considered extreme, but the width seems useable, doesn't tram-line through the rough or chopped snow and as a high speed blaster I really enjoy them. The twin-tip make them easier to manoeuvre in tricky conditions and they ski "shorter" than they would with a conventional tail.
Available in four lengths up to a manly 190 cm there is pretty much a Gotama to suit every expert seasonaires needs - funky, fun and capable.
