If you love short turns down the fall-line hten you can't go far wrong with the Volkl SC. This slalom carver is not for the faint of heart, they are rapid, powerful and give you great bite into the firmest of hills. With a wood core and "Double Grip" construction there is great feel, a progressive flex and a lightness in comparison to a full-blown race slalom ski. You can ski the SC's pretty much anywhere over the mountain and they will reward you with snappy short turns, a decent medium length turn - especially when you head for the 168 and 173 length - plus enough sportiness and life for all but the most advanced skiers who really are looking for major thigh work outs.
An excellent all-mountain slalom ski for the fast red run or competent black run skier.
