Salomon Amethyst Z10 Ti Skis 2008/09

Salomon Amethyst Z10 Ti Skis 2008/09

My girlfriend really loved these skis, she found them light-weight, very tolerant and easliy manipulated - so nothing like the writer then.

Aimed at competent intermediate skiers to advanced skiers who can cruise most of the mountain yet don't want to push themselves too much in terms of risk or speed the Amethyst works very well.
Graphically they are rather smart, feminine, refined and not too girly. With a versatile sidecut and lively feel they are very much developed from the successful Aero range and as such lively, nimble and great for the majority of blue to black run cruising.

A partial woodcore gives nice amounts of grip without being intolerant plus much valued smoothness at low to medium speeds - they are very pleasant, malleable rather than overly agile but great all-rounders for the majority of regular holiday skiers.

Skireviews.co.uk rating - 88/100

An excellent and versatile ski package but lacks power and grip for more aggressive advanced skiers.

The manufacturer says this about the Salomon Amethyst Z10 Ti Skis 2008/09:

All round performance, on piste advanced to expert skiers.
