A new intro model for 2008/9, the 8ft is the tiddler in the family, Volkl prefer the "entry into the Champions League of skiing" line. One of the main differences is the "sleeker" profile of 69 mm underfoot, something more akin to the traditional "Supersport" range which was such a resounding and ground-breaking ski for Volkl.
Ease of use, lower price point and tailored for a more forgiving ride and wider audience than the serious 10 and 12 ft Tigersharks the new 8 will give you the feel and look without the need to be such a strong skiing performer.
