Salomon Scarlet skis 2008/09

Salomon Scarlet skis 2008/09

Vastly improved graphics over last years Scarlet. A real big backcountry twin tip for the advanced to expert female skier. Featuring a wood core and edge reinforcement they are very durable pair of skis, tougher than their name would suggest.
One of the testers, who has won womens freeride events in Switzerland and France, thought the Scarlet's quite a handful at times and powerful skis requiring a good degree of fitness and technical ability in order to ride.
So a serious pair of back-country skis for the expert or physically fit skier looking for some off-piste fun and creativity - I do believe a ski of this sort is so much more fun than many of the old-school barges and they inspire you to ski with a more adventurous eye for the terrain.

Skireviews.co.uk rating - 89/100

Excellent but can feel a little "heavy" leading to a lack of agility.

The manufacturer says this about the Salomon Scarlet skis 2008/09:

All-terrain powder twin.
